Sketchbook

Mr. Yen's travel is told in vivid drawings and sketches. He filled many, many sketchbooks with pastel, markers, pen, or pencil drawings of people, places, and things he thought was interesting or beautiful. A part of his daily routine was to do a sketch or two, preferably in the afternoon. He could quickly sketch something and then returned home where he could finish the work from memory. Sometimes the sketches are the beginning of paintings, but many times these drawings are art themselves.
